We at Mithras believe in fostering a community of giving. Therefore we do not have a 'dues program', and we will not tell you how much you should be giving, if any. We all aspire to follow our Higher Will and as such we believe that you will know best how much you are able to give, if any, and that you will do so if you so choose. We would like to request that if you want to make a regular donation to Mithras, that you let us know. It is important to budget, and knowing one's intentions towards donating will greatly help with this. One may pledge as little or as much as one chooses, and may change that pledge amount at any time.
If one chooses to make a donation, one may donate to Mithras in general, or one may donate specifically for something. If one states that their donations are for 'Mass Equipment' or 'Initiation Equipment', it will be set aside and used ONLY for that (with the only exception being that if more funds are raised for that particular item, than is needed... but then the money will be directed to the next closest type of purchase, and NOT into the general fund). There is a link at the top of this page for the google doc that contains the Treasury Ledger. People's identities are omitted, however you may track your donation through either a check number, transaction number, donation amount/date, etc, to assure that your money has been accounted for, and placed correctly. If you do not want your donation to be trackable for whatever reason, you may have it listed as part of the event donation listing instead. Please specify so with your donation.
When using Paypal, please make sure to select 'donation/gift' as well as to fill in what you want your money to be used for, if you so choose. (intiation tools, first/last on a space, fund-raising investment money, etc) If you do not specify, then it will go into the general fund. You may also state in your 'note' if this will be a monthly pledge (until further notice), or a one time donation.
